This process is ideal for low-flow systems with variable influent quality. The unit is divided in the middle by a perforated plate with holes large enough to allow the resin beads to pass through following a change in volume. It is filled with Lewatit® resin to just above the perforated plate so that a layer of resin rests on the plate. The treated water exits the unit through a collector system just below the perforated plate.
Features of the Rlnsebed Process Include:
Recommended for small-to-medium-size units
Recommended for wastewater units where there is a risk of precipitation in the bed
Optimal utilization of resin capacity
Very low regenerant consumption
Backwashing in the Rinsebed unit
High-quality effluent, even during system interruptions
"Untreated" water can be used for elution and rinsing
Upflow service/downflow regeneration
